A Pure and Simple Service

​Direct cremations, sometimes referred to as 'pure cremations' can be a simple and low-key solution to the traditional funeral. This could be for those who are looking for a low-cost alternative or for those who do not wish to have the formalities and ceremony that a traditional funeral can entail.

Our Direct Cremation service is an unattended cremation that takes place at a local crematorium. Although mourners are not able to attend the cremation, families often choose to celebrate the person's life in their own time and in a way that best suits them and their loved one's wishes. It is a simple, pure and relaxed service we offer, that can help to take away a lot of decision making for the bereaved.

Although this service has no service, ceremony or mourners, rest assured that the deceased will be treated with the utmost respect and dignity with us. You will be looked after personally by Oliver from the beginning to the end and Oliver will also accompany your loved one to the crematorium. He will always be available to discuss and answer any questions you and your family may have.

What is Included?

  • Removing the deceased from the place of death and into our care. (from inside of a 15 mile radius of our premises)
  • The cost of the cremation at the local crematorium. (chosen by ourselves)
  • Any necessary medical certificates.
  • Care of the deceased until the date of the cremation.
  • A suitable coffin.
  • A suitable vehicle to transport the deceased to the crematorium.
  • Collection of the Ashes from the crematorium.
  • A biodegradable ashes container. (others are available at an additional cost)
  • Local personal delivery of the ashes. (within the Teignmouth and Dawlish area)

Options Available:-

  • Visits to our chapel of rest (on one or more occasion) and preparation of the deceased - £200
  • Choice of coffin - from £270
